ATM: Aaaabsolutely crazy!

It’s that time of year again – ATM.  Love it or hate it, this travel market frenzy has everyone out of the office and headed to the Exhibition Centre for four days of networking, coffees, 1:1 interviews, press release distribution, client meetings and general show attendance.

We took the the crush of people waiting to enter the show on day one to mean only one thing: Dubai is back on the tourism map. For the past few years, ATM has felt, well, a little bit flat.  This year the world has turned out in force to make an announcement, resulting in a slew of headlines with Rezidor, Hilton Worldwide, Anantara, Starwood, Shaza and more all announcing new hotels — there’s plenty to discuss, all presented in real time on the show’s twitter wall.  On day two social media was discussed in a round-table with a hundred other news updates – increased visitor numbers, more flexible visa requirements – the list goes on and our team were there and lapping it up.

There’s also the parties and awards shows of course.  TOH PR supported clients POMPERU and W Doha Hotel & Residences at the World Travel Awards on Sunday night – with W Doha taking home an impressive four awards…Where next? The Address event at Calabar, Wyndham’s Ramada Plaza party and the MENA Travel Awards… another week out and about for TOH PR!
