So it’s that time of year again, the temperature in Dubai has skyrocketed and Ramadan has arrived! Here at TOH we’ve been chatting about where our hang-out spots are going to be this month and thought we’d share them with you…
There are a wealth of offerings in Dubai for the pre-sunrise meal, for instance the Oberoi hotel is offering a special Suhoor menu at their world cuisine restaurant, Nine7One, until 2am every day.
Meanwhile, for the health-conscious among us, Comptoir 102 in Jumeirah are also offering an organic Suhoor until 12am Sunday-Thursday – guilt free and delicious!
Those of us who aren’t fasting will frequent the fabulous Zuma for business lunches, as they are open as normal throughout the month.
After work, we’re planning to head to Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates hotel to check out their air-conditioned, ‘oriental-style’ Ramadan lounge tent. Think Arabic mezze, tea, shisha, live Arabic music and games… sounds like a perfect way to spend an evening with friends, doesn’t it?
Lazy nights at home:
On nights when we don’t feel like going out, though, we’ll probably just spend the evening chilling out at home watching TV. MTV Middle East have a special Ramadan schedule planned, featuring Pimp my Ride and Retro Cribs – ideal entertainment for a night spent lying on the sofa!
Ramadan is always a perfect time to relax and detox, which is why we were so excited when we heard about the Oberoi hotel’s 24 hour spa service. So, no matter what the time, finding haven of peace and tranquility is never our of the question.
For the ultimate relaxation, we’d recommend escaping from the hustle and busy of Dubai life and travelling away for a weekend treat. The W Doha Hotel have a wonderful Ramadan overnight offer, including early check-in, late check-out, discounted Suhoor and an impressive ‘Sultan’s tent’ for Iftar. What more could you want!
So, tell us, where are your usual Ramadan/summer time haunts?
